Any pet sitter assigned to care for your pets will be our employee (not an independent contractor). All potential employees are carefully screened for pet nurturing personality and ability.

Do you do background checks on pet sitters?
Yes! All employess are subjected to a criminal background check prior to being employed.
How do you train your pet sitters?
Many of our employees are Certified Veterinary Technicians. All of our pet sitters, including vet techs, attend our in-house training course prior to employment.

Are you licensed to board dogs?
The Georgia Department of Agriculture treats us the same as any standard kennel. A DOA inspector visits each and every one of our Bed & BiscuitSM locations periodically, at random, to ensure compliance with all state laws and to renew each location's license.

Do you crate or cage pet guests?
We take great care to match a pet to a pet sitter - including home and family. We do so to prevent or minimize pet behavior problems. Your pet is an invited guest and is treated as a member of the pet sitter's family. We will not routinely kennel your pet unless you request it.
Your pet may be crated for its own protection as well as that of the pet sitter's home while he or she leaves to run short, routine errands.

Do you charge extra for administering medications or shots?
No! Administering medications (ointments, salves, pills, shots, etc.) is included in the basic visit charge.
How may I make my reservation?
All reservations are made through our office or via this website, not with our pet sitters. We will be responsible for and responsive to only reservations which come through our administrative office.

May I book my reservation directly with the pet sitter?
Our office staff must assign the reservation's pet sitter, subject to client's acceptance. Making a reservation via this website or by calling the office allows the pet sitter to concentrate on caring for your pet.
Why not make arrangements directly with the pet sitter?
If you do not make reservations via this website or by calling the office then neither you nor the pet sitter will have the protection of the dishonesty bond, liability insurance or our Workers' Compensation coverage.
Additionally, every pet sitter is our contracted employee and such behavior would breach their contract and they would be stealing from the company. We are aggressive in protecting our business from theft.
Please do not ask our pet sitters to be dishonest.

How long do you spend with my pet?
As long as it takes, usually around thirty minutes. We do know that higher maintenance or special care pets may require a little longer visit and that some pets simply require more attention and socialization than others. We are there to see to their needs.

How many sets of keys do you require?
Unlike many other pet sitting services, we only need one set of keys to your home. We do require this set of keys to be tested by both the pet sitter and owner to ensure they are correct.
What if my pet sitter gets locked out?
We document your lockout instructions, maintaining this information in our database. Your pet sitter will have your instructions available in the unlikely event of a lockout.

How do I know your pet sitter actually shows up?
We hire responsible pet sitters. To help them do their job properly, while assuring your confidence, we require them to leave you notes on a Daily Diary for each and every visit they make. They will tell you of your pet's behavior, its melancholy during your absence, as well as meal, exercise and general health details.

How may I make payment to you?
We accept Visa, Master Card and checks made payable to Reigning Cats & DogsSM. Full payment is required prior to job commencement.

Should I tip my pet's pet sitter and if so, how much?
Treat our service as you would any other service. Pet sitters are thrilled to receive monetary appreciation for a superior effort. Some clients tip at Christmas, some a few dollars each visit, some give gifts or just do nice things for the pet sitter.

Do you charge extra for holidays?
We do not charge extra for our services on holidays, except for house sitting and then only on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. We do so in consideration of the caregvier being away from family during those holidays.

Your data is stored on our computers and in files in our office and is available only to need-to-know employees, and then only for your benefit.
